Astarti Athanasiadou (b. 1983, GR) is an Amsterdam-based performance artist, movement educator and researcher whose practice spins around radical embodiments and profound listening. Projects can give rise to staged or landscape performances, movement laboratories, walking pieces, videos or text works. She is an active member of the Body Weather Amsterdam platform (Bakatsaki, van de Ven), currently researching ways of resituating Body Weather back to rural and agricultural contexts, investigating intersections of performance, farming and daily life. She worked in Inland Project (Fernando García Dory) in Inland headquarters, an abandoned village in restoration in Asturias, and in the communal garden of Matadero, Madrid, at the Four Sisters urban garden in Amsterdam, and in collaboration with Stephane Verlet-Bottero at Zone Sensible Parti Poetique, the urban farm of St. Dennis, Paris, at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris and Farm of Saint-Hubert, Nantes.

Next to that, Astarti is a member of the Dangerous Mouses collective, a shared physical practice space, initiated by Maria Mavridou and Pablo Fontdevila, and co-led with Yurie Umamoto and Stefania Petroula, and she guest lectures in the Master of Performance Practices of Artez, based in Arnhem.
