Dearest incoming DAI-student,
We, the entire crew of the DAI, warmly welcome you to join us on Saturday the 2nd of October at Santuary Lluc in the Serra de Tramuntana on the Isle of Mallorca (Spain). For the very special occasion of this combined introduction & graduation week (indeed, you will not only meet with the second year students, but also with those who are saying farewell to the DAI as students, but are still eager to know the incoming new members of the extended DAI family) we have already booked your flights from Schiphol Amsterdam to Palma de Mallorca. No costs will be charged for this flight ! Traveling to Amsterdam will however not be refunded.
SHOULD TRAVELING TO AMSTERDAM BE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN TRAVELING DIRECTLY FROM YOUR HOMEBASE TO PALMA DE MALLORCA YOU ARE ADVISED TO MAKE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS (which will not be refunded, just like traveling to Amsterdam will not be refunded).
PLEASE CONTACT Jacq van der Spek BEFORE THURSDAY September 9 noon (12:00 CEST):
WHAT TO BRING TO MALLORCA?
Make sure to bring your laptop and/or your phone, your clothes ( do not forget to pack swim gear and something warm for the evening), comfy shoes for walking, your toothbrush, a towel (!!), plenty of mouthcaps and, very, very important, proof of a NEGATIVE ANTIGEN OR PCR test not older than 24 hours (alternatively, we invite you to do a self-test upon entering the sanctuary - be aware that should this test turn out positive you will not be allowed to join us - please do not take this lightly!).
WHAT TO CAREFULLY READ IN PREPARATION ?
You are strongly advised to keep returning to our website, as we are continuously updating the information.

WHO ELSE TO CONTACT IF LEFT WITH QUESTIONS ?
Rik Fernhout, whom all of you have already met with via mail (as he helped you to enrol), must be contacted if you cannot join the Introduction Week for any reason, or if you are in doubt about joining us in relation to Covid-19, or if you are not sure about how to deal with quarantaine regulations.
Margret Wibmer, advisor international students can be contacted about finding your way, for those of you who are planning to base yourselves in the Netherlands. We know that she has already been advising several of you.
