ABSTRACT

This thesis starts with the question: 'What do I feel is so wrong with this world that I cannot help it but to address it through my work?' Going from the real experience of pain and a feeling of detatchment towards the real experience into the realm of art, discussing issues as the unsharibility of pain, the boundaries of language and different forms of mediation through the document. The document as a visible, noticeable object between the artist and the audience. What is lost and gained in this moment of mediation between the artist and the work, between the work and the audience?
