Jenny Nachtigall
Jenny Nachtigall (Berlin/Munich) is a research fellow at the Institute of Philosophy | Aesthetic Theory of the Academy of Fine Arts Munich. Her research interests include materialist aesthetics, and contemporary and modern art, theories/histories of form(alism) and the tangled legacies of vitalism. Some of her work on the latter will appear in Neolithic Childhood. Art in a False Present, c. 1930 (eds. Anselm Franke, Tom Holert). She writes for Texte zur Kunst, Artforum a.o. 2014 she initiated with Dorothea Walzer the project “art and (re)production” (Volksbühne Berlin a.o). With Manuela Ammer, Eva Birkenstock, Kerstin Stakemeier and Stephanie Weber she recently published Klassensprachen – Written Praxis (Archive Books, 2017), which is part of a long-term exhibition, magazine and discussion project.
