"This morning we proudly raise Tania Bruguera's flag, Dignity Has No Nationality, atop the Creative Time headquarters for our second month of Pledges of Allegiance.

For July, a month of national pride and a celebration of freedom, Tania Bruguera's flag proposes a vision of dignity, inclusive of all peoples — regardless of citizenship and national territorial belonging. Dignity Has No Nationality reminds us that we are part of a global society.

Featuring 16 incredible artists' responses to the current political climate, Pledges of Allegiance aims to inspire a sense of community among artists and cultural institutions. Each month a new flag will be raised on a flagpole atop Creative Time’s headquarters at 59 East 4th Street and participating arts, educational, and cultural institutions nationwide."
