The four videos can be seen as a 'collaborative meme', reflecting a knowledge inquiry that incites new discussions, invoking cross-sectorial and disciplinary debates whilst consolidating knowledge about digital(alter)natives and how they work in the present to change our futures.
Athens Video Art Festival 2013 takes advantage of the diversity, the versatility and the dynamics of the city in order to activate, in terms of art and creativity, one of the most controversial parts of the city: a route between Theatrou Sq., Kotzia Sq., Agias Eirinis Sq. and Monastiraki Sq., in which a number of screenings, art interventions and co-operations will highlight a moving and continuously developing artists' community. Athens Video Art Festival broadens the collaboration with academic institutions, international festivals and well known artists in order to create an international platform, where new tendencies on digital creations meet.
