COOP 2019-2020 tutor Arnisa Zeqo sends us this invite from RONGWRONG. EPHEMERAL EVIDENCE SEASON 1: Thursday December 19, 6-7.30 pm: slide night with Ibrahim Mahama.

| tag: Amsterdam
Dear friends,

we are very happy to invite you for an informal gathering with artist Ibrahim Mahama (1987) within the context ofEphemeral Evidence*. We met Ibrahim in Athens in the beginning of 2016 where he worked for several months during documenta 14 and are pleased to host a slide night revolving around his current research. During the evening the artist offers insights on a new cultural center he is collectively building in Ghana. He also introduces his project Parliament of Ghosts initially presented at the Manchester’s Whitworth Art Gallery and further developed for Sonsbeek next year.

Ibrahim Mahama is an author and artist living and working in Ghana. His work has been exhibited at documenta 14, the 56th and 58th Venice Biennale (the first Ghana pavilion), K21, the Museum for Science and Technology in Accra and Saatchi Gallery.

- you know our space is small, it's important to rsvp at info@rongwrong.org -

Slide Night is part of Season 1 of the Ephemeral Evidence program at rongwrong.

*Ephemeral Evidence is both a program of exhibitions and an attitude and methodology of work and research. This plan is a continuation of rongwrong's research into the blurring of the boundaries between individual and collective works, between exhibitions, performances and educational moments. The title Ephemeral Evidence is derived from the widespread text "Ephemera as Evidence: Introductory notes to Queer Acts" (1996) by Cuban-American performance writer Jose Esteban Munoz (1967 - 2013).
