Lecture Frank Koolen & mentalist Timon Krause:

During the finissage of the exhibition ‘ALGEMENE STUDIES/ETUDES GENERALES’ by Chaim van Luit and the series 'All We Can Do Is What We Are Actually Doing Already' moderator Frank Koolen, in collaboration with mentalist Timon Krause, will give a lecture which is titled Time Travels; a presentation in which both the notion of walking and the capacity of the human mind to transcend itself will be addressed. Also the publication will be available, consisting of four posters designed by Frank Koolen and exhibitors Scott Joseph, Mitrēvics & Kristīne Kursiša and Chaim van Luit and texts by Marianna Maruyama. Maruyama will briefly introduce the texts.

"When you are walking on your own you think differently. Sometimes your thoughts fall into rhythm with the walk. A monologue of thoughts can suddenly turn into a dialogue when a new surrounding imposes itself. Ideally you will not be thinking at all for lengths of time. You can do nothing but walk, watch and think. To think about this walking and watching and thinking. You are on a territory of transition, submission and unfocused concentration. A time travel in the now if you will".  (From: ‘Walking’, Gustaaf Wouters, 1979)
