For Risk Change residency in Croatia, current resident Fotini Gouseti (DAI, 2013) was interviewed about her research around Moretto (morčić) – a traditional figurine which is the symbol of Rijeka. In the evolving conversation Fotini compares Moretto's colonial /racist features to those of the contested figure of Black Pete in the Netherlands.

During the last three months Fotini Gouseti (DAI, 2013) has been a warmly supported MMSU resident for Risk Change at Rijeka (Rijeka 2020), Croatia.

She places research on Moretto (morčić) – a traditional figurine which is the symbol of Rijeka. A big part of the research period took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, a condition forcing her into finding new methodological tools.
