Goleb is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming open day festival at Broedplaats de Vlugt on Saturday, 10 October.
We invite you to join us throughout the day for open studios and presentations from Goleb residents including: Abla elBahrawy, Hee-Seung Choi, Taf Hassam, Go-Eun Im, Mirko Lazović, Marianna Maruyama, Caterina Pecchioli, Igor Sevcuk, Laura Wiedijk, and Julia Willms.
Please note: Three Goleb presentations will be held in the project space from 15:30 for about one hour. The presentations will start promptly.
15:30-15:50 Hee-Seung Choi will present her group performance "Trial of the Parasite", a reenactment based on actual trial of Joseph Brodsky, who was, in 1964, a 24-year-old poet and translator at the start of his career. The poet was accused by Soviet authorities of crimes against the state and found guilty of "social parasitism".
15:50-16:10 Marianna Maruyama will introduce the Goleb summer sessions on translation "How Languages Moves" and share some of the material that came out of the sessions.
16:15 Caterina Pecchioli "Social Choreography" participatory installation - game. The public will be invited to activate and play the installation (duration 30 min).
Studios at Goleb and de Vlugt will be open from 12:00 to 18:00.
The SUQ open day festival will be held on Saturday 10 October from 12:00 noon until late night 2:00am. More info here.
