SCHEDULE DAI-WEEK 6-10 January 2014

JANUARY 6: MONDAY

Arrival students & tutors & guests in Arnhem around 12:30

We kick the week off with a communal lunch in the DAI's cantina.

For the CO-OP ACADEMY program our 34 students split up for 3 different projects

Today the Using the Museum group will be accommodated by the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven. 

Please take notice: the session at the Van Abbe starts at 10 am!

Publishing Class IV: Community in Print with Casco; Yolande van der Heide and David Senior

Location: DAI and Werkplaats Typografie

Appropriation and Dedication with If I Can't Dance; Tanja Baudoin and Snejanka Mihaylova.

Location: Reading Room

Using the Museum / with the Van Abbemuseum; Nick Aikens, Steven ten Thije, Charles Esche, Annie Fletcher and Christiane Berndes. Location: Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven

19:00 - 20:00 communal dinner in the DAI's cantina

20:00 - 21:00 continuation CO-OP ACADEMY (with the exception of the Van Abbe-group). 

JANUARY 7: TUESDAY

09:30 - 18:00 Face to face tutorials: ALL

Location: DAI-spaces on all floors

One on one meetings between students and (guest) tutors. This week with David Senior, Yolande van der Heide, Janine Armin, Grant Watson, Wendelien van Oldenborgh, Tanja Baudoin, Susan Gibb, Snejanka Mihaylova, Renée Ridgway, Nishant Shah, Doreen Mende, Samia Henni, Nick Aikens and Florian Göttke.

09:30 - 10:30 IICD group meeting. location: mezzanine 

13:00 - 14:00 communal lunch

Continuation face to face meetings

17:00 - 18:00 yoga class by Rainier Isendam. location: AUDI I and II

18:30 - 19:30 communal dinner

20.00 - 21.30 Whole Earth  Catalog- evening with  

Fucking Good Art and David Senior

JANUARY 8: WEDNESDAY

10:00 - 17:00 Roaming Research Academy: group splits up for 3 different projects

Seminar: Welcome to Econotopia - commons of the contemporary by Renée Ridgway and her guest Nishant Shah.

Location: DAI auditorium / Audi I

Seminar: To Make a Work - Motivation, Affinity, Circumstance, by Grant Watson & Wendelien van Oldenborgh.

Location: Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam Take notice:  departure at 9.01 by train to Amsterdam (arrival CS Amsterdam 10:06)

Seminar (starts at 09:30): Travelling Communiqué: From Belgrade, September 5, 1961 by Doreen Mende and her guest Samia Henni.

Location: Mezzanine / DAI auditorium

13:00 - 14:00 communal lunch at the DAI Cantina for two groups. For the Amsterdam group lunch will be in Amsterdam (prepare in the morning).

19:00 - 20:00 communal dinner in the DAI's cantina

The Kitchen / Not The Restaurant. All students attend the lecture-presentations or lecture-performances by their peers. This DAI-week's guest respondents are Nishant Shah and Ansuya Blom.

13:00 - 15:00 Presentation of the results of the Outside DAI project "See You In The Hague", a masterclass in collaboration with the department of Political Science at the University of Amsterdam and Stroom in The Hague, dealing with the consequences of counter-terrorism policies.  

15:00 - 17:00 PUBLIC lecture by Cynthia Weber at Stroom and presentation of 'I am an American: Video Portraits of Unsafe US citizens'
