herman de vries (1931) invited Carlijn Mens (1972) as a partner in our last duo exhibition in 2013. In the gallery we present cooperative work that they made recently in the studio of de vries in Eschenau, southern Germany. In addtion recent individual work by each of the artists is shown in the gallery. The exhibition will be opened on November 8, 3:30 p.m. by Lisette Pelsers, director of the Kröller-Müller Museum.

Work by the two artists can also be seen at two places in the Wageningen University Campus. In Impulse (November 8- December 15, Building 115, Stippeneng 2, Wageningen, open Mo- Fri 8-19 uur): "leaf fall' works by the vries and drawings from the series "Preserved Places" by Carlijn Mens. At ISRIC World Soil Information (December and January, Bulding 101, Droevendaalsesteeg 3) work with the theme "earth": earth on paper by herman de vries, en foot prints by Carlijn Mens. Also at ISRIC: archival material about the scientific work of herman de vries during his years as a researcher at institutes in Wageningen and Arnhem (1953-1970) that formed an important source for his artistic activities.
