Aziza Harmel & Bassam El Baroni ~ The Night School (Extended Mix) ~ an audio-visual live set

An experiment with the dance floor as a curatorial space and place of study, the set samples and mixes mementos from the DAI archive, fiction, fragments of literature and spoken word in a homage that keeps escaping its brief as tribute and love letter. Reminiscence, satire and infrastructural critique fade into an atmosphere of celebration, immersion, thumping bass, intensity, fog, euphoria and dance floor melancholy as the set passes from speech into a full-blown DJ set and a pocket of time opens up in the room.
