Lend Me Your Ears is an exhibition about how memories and stories connect people, across generations and through time. Six artists reflect on the transience of our existence and the fragile yet powerful role of memory. What do we pass on? And what continuity do we want to be a part of? Six memorable projects, several of which are premiering, utilize ancient symbols, science fiction, film, mark-making, dance, and live storytelling to create meaningful connections between the past, present, and future. The central theme is transmission: from person to person, from voice to voice, from generation to generation. The title of the exhibition is taken from the performative installation by David Maroto (DAI, ) in which stories are conveyed live to the audience through performers. Live storytellers are present almost every weekend from 1:30 PM. With new work by Iratxe Jaio, Dorota Detlaf, Kwinnie Lê and Müge Yilmaz, among others, a layered journey unfolds along personal memories, ancestral lines and future stories. Lend Me Your Ears is the last exhibition that the wonderful Anke Bangma will realise as curator and artistic director for TENT, before she hands over her role later this year.
