2025 - 2026 FACTORY student led: A factory in the form of a kitchen, and prelude for more kitchens to come - DoItOurselves Mascara, Eyebrow- & Face-Paint.

MARCH 12, 2026

Led by Hannah van der Schaaf

When: 10:15 - 11:00

Location: CLAY

Walking on the street, meeting beautiful people I often still find myself in dominantly grey places. As a kid I ones got a book from my aunt "grun and grauw" (green and grey). The story is about a person and a cat that move from the green city to the grey city. As soon as they arrive they feel uncomfortable and start to struggle with deperssions, they need more colour in their lives. So he takes out the tiles, plants many plants and starts painting the grey building. First their neighborgs get upset, anoyed and angry with all the colours but soon they start to appriciate it, get more happy and start builing on connections with each other. By continuing to spread the colours they start to stick like ecofriendly glitters.

I sometimes, or often, feel a desire for more colour in the world. This desire and wish got me into facepaint and eventuelly introduced colour mascara to me, that are great for painting your eyebrows as well;). The colour range in stores is raletivly limited, and I don't know what kind of materials are being used, plus a lot of plastic waste comes with the packaging.

Until I came across this recipe in a do it zero recipe book for a plastic free life (or I would say a less plastic life).

The amazing thing about making your own is that a world of possibilties unfold. With this factory I want to invite you to make our own mascara/eyebrow-/face-paint. This factory can be seen as a prelude to the Factory - Student Led:MARO! MARO! MARO! Led by Gianfranco Colla aka FRANCAFUNGO and Dario Biancullo. The supply that we will make can be used during this factory.
