Introducing issue #1 of dear diary dairrhea
an improvised dai newsletter, bringing together traces of reflections, writing, words, poems, images, illustrations, juicy gossip and declarations of love <3
Join us for the group editorial process! We will be cutting and pasting whatever we got from the submissions, and maybe coming up with some more content ourselves.

We will edit + lay out texts collectively, adding as much as we can but may need to make edits depending on what we get (everyone welcome to this!)
The newsletter will be printed with a risograph (in London) + brought to our next confluence in June
Is there a text from your kitchen that you’re holding on to? A declaration of love? A micro essay inspired by theory readings? A sappy notes app poem written on the DAI bus? A newspaper column you want to start? A gorgeous photo taken on film? A jem in your camera roll you’ve been wanting to share? An illustration hiding in your notebook? Got something funny to say? For this first edition, we’re looking for any and all submissions → SEND US YOUR STUFF! For text submissions please keep it to a maximum 250 words!
We have already come up with some juicy columns ourselves, so if you don’t have anything to hand, you can also submit to: 1. HORRORSCOPE: Horoscopes for each of the coops 2. SECRET ADMIRER: (kind of) anonymous declarations of love
How to submit: DEADLINE: 13 APRIL 2026 Upload your submission to this shared drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/180nhzR3JsiyXObe8t_eHomq-uIjQ6Ai0?usp=sharing
For anonymous submissions , you can slip a note in a secret envelope we’ll set up somewhere in the holiday park.
MARCH 12, 2026
Led by Anahi Saravia Herrera, Seta Astreou Karides, Shoshana Walfish
When: 17:30 - 19:00
Location: Il Sicomoro
Is there a text from your kitchen that you’re holding on to?
A micro essay inspired by theory readings?
A sappy notes app poem written on the DAI bus?
A short philosophical fiction about the PAF ghosts?
A conversation whispered during Sonic Iconic you want to record?
A book excerpt we must bootleg and circulate?
A confession you have to share?
Let's meet with those interested in organizing a quick and dirty newsletter that gathers words, texts and fragments into something we can hold and take home.
A roaming editorial process beyond the DAI Website - we want to think of ways to share some of the knowledge and ideas circulating, to create traces for amplification and archiving beyond the confluences.
What form will it take: physical [riso printed/photocopied/?], digital or both? What sorts of things do people want to share? How will it travel from the printing press to our hands? How many can we make? What are the bounds of what we can do, working from a suitcase?
Some things we want to discuss:
-
DAI as a means of distribution
-
What labour will be involved + how can it be shared? editing/design/print/distribution
-
What are the values of this mini publication series?
-
Timelines
-
Content
-
A fun name [!!!]
