Marco Laterza

Marco Laterza is an architect, researcher and musician from Matera (Italy). He studied and worked in Italy, Spain and France.

From 2016 to 2020, he was coordinator of the Open Design School for Matera 2019 - European Capital of Culture. In 2025, he obtained his PhD in architecture with research investigating the correlation between neuroscience, biophilia and architecture.

Together with Matilde Suarez Ruiz, he founded the Suarez+Laterza architecture studio, which focuses on the dialogue between ancient and contemporary, innovative educational spaces, exhibition and biophilic design.
