WEAVER ~ formal framework 2025 -2026
WEAVER as a curriculum component aims to offer students a variety of of pathways (student led or program led) wherein their responsibility and agency towards their own study progress and learning trajectory or towards the DAI’s modus operandi as a cultural actor in the world can be furthered.

General introduction to the terms in use: GLOSSARY
FIRST YEAR STUDENTS (INCOMING 2025)
* Compulsory Choice | 8 ECTS | 224 hours in total
* participation in student led & program led activities & writing of WEAVER reports.
Contact hours: 112 hours
Self study hours: 112 hours
ELABORATION ON CONTACT & SELF-STUDY HOURS:
Contact hours: 6 days of student led and program led activities.
Mandatory presence during all WEAVER days (attendance and active participation to activities organised for Confleunce 1,2,3,4 & 5) whereby 100% attendance is strongly recommended, but if there are urgent reasons for non-attendance, students is, by law, allowed to miss out on 1 day, without an additional task above the required hours of self-study.
Presence includes:
* Mandatory attendance/participation in Palestine Teach Outs (recurring per Confluence) & Roaming Assembly (Confluence #4).
* Participation upon choice in Factory ~ student led and/or How To Cook Things While Roaming (HTCTWR).
Points: 4 ECTS (depending on days of participation)
Self-Study hours: WEAVER reports
Mandatory 4 x written self-evaluations of learning trajectory for Confluences 2,3,4 & 5.
Points for WEAVER reports: 4 ECTS
ELABORATION ON TESTING:
*WEAVER Year#1 is concluded successfully and awarded with a overall of 8 ECTS when the student is credited with a ‘PASS’ based on fullfilment of all tasks which includes, by means of the WEAVER reports, introspective self-evaluation of each student concerning the totality of the syllabus on offer.
*The Grade is signed off by the WEAVER education leader / certified BKE examiner.
SECOND YEAR STUDENTS (INCOMING 2024)
* Compulsory Choice | 8 ECTS | 224 hours in total
* participation in student led & program led activities, writing of WEAVER reports & Life After DAI.
Contact hours: 112 hours
Self study hours: 112 hours

Contact hours: 6 days of student led and program led activities.

Contact & Self-Study hours combined: Life After DAI+ ALUMNI EMBASSY
* Mandatory: individual coaching session Life After DAI of one hour (Confluence #6) based on plan for individual Alumni Embassy page, followed by publication on DAI's website inclusive of Biography + Key Words.
* Mandatory BIO (draft) prior to coaching and final + Key Words (after Confluence 6).
Points: 1 ECTS
