Rotterdam art space A Tale of A Tub is directed by our tremendous alumni Isabelle Sully (DAI 2015 - 2017, returning to consult on Life after DAI and as a Final First Year Kitchen respondent 2023 - 2024). As time ticks on and we get closer to 2026, A Tale of A Tub will host two activities developed as part of their exhibition The Clock Wife to share before we say goodbye to another year. A gentle place to land: Gathering for holiday grief will take place on Saturday 13th December, 2025 4:00–6:00pm, led by curator, author, and death doula Staci Bu Shea (DAI COOP tutor 2019 - 2020) and followed by soup and bread from their neighbour Adina Orboi, this gathering is for anyone grieving a loss (a person, a pet, a relationship, a place, an opportunity, the world) who wants to learn more, enjoy the holiday spirit, or simply get outside.

The holidays can be a difficult time for those grieving. This gathering is organised as part of public programme for the exhibition The Clock Wife, where the invisible forms of administrative work inherent in death and legacy management are intertwined with the experiences of processing emotional pain. It is an opportunity to receive practical guidance for self-care and collective care during the holidays and the transition to winter.

All grieving people are welcome. Space is limited.
