Cheers to the fabulous Tomek Pawłowski-Jarmołajew (who was our chef in Nida at several occasions and our Insta-reporter at Centrale Fies in 2024) on their new position as Curator of the Artist-in-Residency Programme at the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art (BGSW) in Słupsk and Ustka, Poland. BGSW is spread between two cities – Słupsk and Ustka – and works across 3 venues. Alongside exhibitions and public programmes, BGSW runs one of the most vibrant artist-in-residency programmes in Poland. Its location on the Baltic coast gives it a unique potential to be an institution in movement – open, self-reflective, and deeply connected to its surroundings. In this new role, Tomek will be drawing on their curatorial background and hospitality skills to welcome artists and researchers to the Polish shore of the Baltic Sea. They are very much looking forward to offering kind space where artistic work, research, connections, and moments of retreat can unfold. Find contact details here.
