2025 - 2026 FACTORY student led: WHY DO YOU GOSSIP?

NOVEMBER 22, 2025

Led by Asmaa Barakat

When: 20:30 - 22:00

Location: Small Library

This Factory workshop is about GOSSIPING!

“Though not about gossip directly, it connects personal narrative and informal communication to political critique.” Johanna Hedva – Sick Woman Theory (2016)

The workshop considers how informal speech, and shared uncertainty might become tools for collective thought. We will unfold together the act of gossiping and why we do we gossip.

It is an invitation to create a manifestation towards a booklet about gossiping and we will discuss if gossiping is truly A SAFETY NET!
