Apart from hands-on introductions to all things "Studying and Living together while Roaming" DAI Confluence nr 1 of the new academic year offers ample time for everybody to familiarize with the 4 defining curriculum components of our program:

The DAI is excited and proud to name the 2025-2026 COOP partnerships with six core artistic research platforms & institutions, the driving forces behind the COOP study groups commisioned by DAI:

Kitchen | AEROPONIC ACTS 

The Kitchen | A-Acts will be briefly introduced by Gabriëlle Schleijpen and Peter Sattler and will then immediately see their first mini-iteration come alive with the input of 7 student presenters in their second year@DAI, while our two guests Emily Pethick and Kari Leigh Rosenfeld will share their improvised responses and reflections with the presenters and performers and with the student body at large.

The Kitchen presentations will be attended by Elisa Guliano, who will separately meet with all second year students, as a first preparation to the AEROPONIC ACTS 2026, which will be coached and curated by her in close conversation with DAI's artistic director|head of program and Peter Sattler ~ towards our public performance marathon at Centrale Fies in June 2026.

Elisa Giuliano, who is also this year's Archipelago Weaver, will furthermore present a first introduction to the city of Matera in Basilicata, South-Italy, where the DAI will land in March and where COOP SUMMIT 2026 will take place in either May or July. 

WEAVER 

introduced by Nikos Doulos, Sophia Zbinovsky Braddel, and with student-led workshops (Factory) throughout the Confluence. 

Palestine Teach Outs 2025-2026 kick off with a student led iteration. Olfa Arfaoui and Stellar Meris will engage with our guests Kari Leigh Rosenfeld (in real life) and (online): Tobi Haslett and Yazan Khalili

Finally, as an overriding participation structure the students of the COUNCIL are omni-present and active for and during this first Confluence of the new academic year.
