Sam Mountford ~ Keywords: field research, photography, film, landscape

Sam Mountford is an artist, programmer and researcher. Born and raised on the lands of the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung peoples of the Kulin Nations, he now lives in Portugal. Sam’s practice is premised on field research and relationship building, image-making and storytelling, with a particular interest in regional and remote contexts. He works primarily with digital video and sound, analogue photography and text, with recent projects focused on the subject of landscape and the politics of its representation within art and cinema. Sam is a PhD candidate at Escola das Artes, UCP Oporto.
