Eszter Dobos (b.1997) is a Hungarian cultural worker working in the field of participatory arts, art education and audience development. Her practice involves collaborating with communities both in educational and artistic contexts.  In general she is interested in any situation where people -whose profession might not include artistic expression, reflect, engage and connect through creation, whether through facilitated processes, social media or game-like structures. In her works she likes to explore what strategies players develop to navigate in unmediated play, as well as the confusion, frustration, joy and cheekiness emerging from loosely defined rules.

Coming from applied theatre, she is mostly working with performance, however recently with a stronger emphasis on sonic perception. Her current research deals with the topics of friendship dynamics, non-kin emotional labour and social exhaustion.

She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Theater and Film Arts Budapest. Before DAI she worked for the art educational department of Trafó House of Contemporary Arts, during DAI as a bartender. Since 2020, she has been part of the art duo FEMINI together with Napsugár Trömböczky.
