Davide La Montagna (b. 1992, IT) is an artist and poet based in Turin.

He is fascinated by love and in possible consequences, on memory, identity, gender, invisibility, death. He is fascinated by the boundaries separating the visible from the invisible, the relation between sculpture, poetry and feelings and the educational properties of imagination. He enjoys collecting gestures associated with a sentimental lexicon—kisses, caresses, tuck sheets in. He is interested in how objects secretly amass stories, identities and emotions within them and how after a period of service—all of a sudden—they become sturdy, rebellious, dirty, undesirable and out of date. He is interested in the potentiality of boredom. He is interested by the impermanence of an artwork, on how it can exist even if formless. He is interested in the political potential of language, how poetry can shorten the distances between inner and outer worlds. How it can educate us to introspection, care and empathy. He is fascinated by the inner power of words, sound and their rebellious nature. He is fascinated by magic, myths, folklore and fairy tales. He draws inspiration from everyday life, from things taken for granted, underestimated. His writings are fuelled by desire and the urge of connection.
