Lex Gregoriou
Lex Gregoriou (he/they) is a cultural producer, researcher and activist based in Cyprus, working across event production, communications, and community organizing. Their work bridges theory and praxis in political and artistic initiatives, fostering non-hierarchical social imaginaries and radical change rooted in solidarity, sustainability, and self-organization.
Since 2022, they have co-curated and co-organized multiple iterations of Sessions, a series of queer happenings that have brought together over 100 artists, collectives, and activists. They have also provided technical support for art exhibitions and taken on various management and coordination roles—handling tech, bar, venue, and volunteer coordination—for cultural productions including Queer Wave LGBTIQ+ Film Festival, Cyprus Film Days Festival, The Gathering Festival, and Where the Sun Never Sets by Sessions. They may also be spotted behind the decks at underground events under the alias Acid Reflex.
Holding an MA in Gender Studies, their research focuses on the intersections of power, gender, sexuality, migration, and the politics of urban space. They are currently working in a research project analyzing extremist narratives online. They have co-authored texts in collective DIY publications on migration politics, sexual and reproductive justice, securitization, and gentrification and have actively participated in local groups and initiatives organizing around antifascism, antiracism, environmental and queer issues. .
