2024 - 2025 FACTORY student led: MEAL PREP

as we collect each other along the way, forming little molecules roaming on the trajectory towards a confluence, our electrons are continuously exchanging with the worlds that we pass. and sometimes, there is a traffic jam. or a force major, leaving our little bundles oscillating in excitement at a particular point along the route, eager to bounce towards and morph with the rest of the DAI body. but moments like this highlight roaming as an active part of the process, the malleable connective tissue between our everyday and our everyDAI. as we skip, crawl and rush, the movements are naturally imbued with attention and affect, forming an unparalleled learning curve. as we sit in the train marvelling at the mountainous landscapes we read to each other, as we walk the sandy shores we strain our ears to hear a text to speech version of the latest theory concepts off the tiny bluetooth speaker over the howling wind, and as we keep making eye contact with cult of personality portraits we wonder what this does to not an economy, but a politics of attention.

so too this student led is just a congealed, sculpted mass of learning and playing, in which we touch upon the pre- and post-dai, this time focusing on the space of the kitchen. we decided to develop our recipes further, add a few extra spices, and share the tasting spoon. as we overedit the texts, rehearse in roaming and play metronome for each other, we collect trinkets off the floor which will serve as props, sew a few extra stitches and try not to get blown away by this wind that is manically tying knots.
