Maksym Netsvetov

Maksym Netsvetov is a biophysicist, ecologist and dendrochronologist from the Institute for Evolutionary Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv, primarily focusing on the effects of anthropogenic and abiotic factors on plants. He is currently conducting research at BIOGECO, a joint unit of INRAE and the University of Bordeaux, France, with financial support from the MSCA4Ukraine foundation. His primary interest lies in how plants adapt to environmental changes driven by both natural processes and human activity.


In addition, his research encompasses plant-insect interactions, insect behaviour and ecology, and other ecological topics, often in collaboration with colleagues across Europe. Maksym Netsvetov is the author of several scientific monographs and numerous publications in scientific journals. He regularly presents his findings at scientific meetings and is a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Association for Tree-Ring Research (ATR), and the Tree-Ring Society.
