Celeste-Grace Lydia Perret, Celeste, Cele alias SolarFiction alias Agent Siphone or just c. (b. 1994) is a multidisciplinary poet based in Amsterdam (NL). Starting as a student in Interactive Media Design, Celeste realised that designing paths for interaction needed a different approach from masculine-tech standards.

In 2020, they shifted gears and graduated from the department of Textile and Text (TXT) at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, with an installation called “The Encoiled Ones”, a science fiction about weaving and computing. In parallel to their academic persona, Celeste took in another school of thought through autonomous social spaces in Amsterdam, where they gathered critical discourses on personal relationships with technology. With reading groups on the relevance of tracing the significance of the Cybernetic moment during the COVID-19 pandemic and hosting a pirate radio programme featuring experimental electronic sound, accompanied by dubious interviews and voice performances as SolarFiction. Between 2021 and 2023, Celeste participated as Agent Siphone in forming a research group called CLOG AGENCY, a hybrid workgroup focused on critical digital infrastructures.

Fascinated by the nomadic DAI programme, they continued working with experimental sound set-ups. These radio performances were an experiment on tuning into invisible bandwidths, channels and frequencies while traveling. At the centre of these exercises is the intention to weave in realities that operate in parallel with what can be seen, heard, or touched. Celeste has been an invited resident in Barcelona, Italy, Lithuania, Morocco and Taiwan, they are available through email, IRC and landline.
