2024-2025 LIFE AFTER DAI ~ Navigating (the) Art World(s)

Life after DAI is one of the building blocks of the WEAVER curriculum component. As of 2022 DAI has annually organised advisory gatherings at Centrale Fies located in the Valle dei Laghi in Trentino, Italy, whereby selected advisors are invited to engage in conversations with the soon to be graduating second year students.
The 2025 Life after DAI advisors are: Chiara Figone, Joy M. Smith, Raphael Daibert.

BIO = DEPARTURE POINT FOR THE ADVISORY SESSION
The Life after DAI advisory sessions are centered around a student's draft bio. Towards the end of the two-year journey with DAI, each student is required to write a "bio", which is to be published at our Alumni Embassy. Preparing and sharing a bio is mandatory and accredited with ECTS under the umbrella of the WEAVER curriculum component.
For the Life after DAI sessions 2025, again taking place at Centrale Fies in Dro, we've asked all students in their second year of study to send us a draft version of the bio they would like to see published at the Alumni Embassy. This draft will be the departure point for the personalized Life after DAI conversation of ONE hour. Some folks will be happy to use that hour to be guided towards a stronger, more compelling bio, while others might prefer to use the bio as the opening to a conversation with their advisor about expectations, dreams, doubts and concerns around the navigation of (the) Art World(s) of our time.
The Alumni Embassy pages are partially self-directed, meaning that the student is responsible for the written text of the actual bio. Contribution to Alumni Embassy pages from the part of DAI is an individual photo-portrait. June 2025 Alaa Abu Asad joined us to the island of Cyprus for photo-shoots in the urban space of Nicosia. Another structural part of each Alumni Embassy is a brief representation of the student's DAI related achievements by means of links the thesis abstract, documentation of the AEROPONIC ACTS etcetera.
