ABSTRACT
"This thesis is an attempt to collect a few notes on how contemporary thinkers and practitioners see the areas of documentary and art converging today, some reasons that put the photographic medium at the core of this debate and why it is interesting to look at this phenomenon in the context of the 29th Biennial of São Paulo, with specific reference to the case of "Pertinho de Alphaville", produced by Dutch artist Wendelien van Oldenborgh in 2010."
