Dear participants, visiting artists, members of staff and friends,

In 2003 DAI takes off 'on a slow boat to China'. For more information please consult DAI Foreign Affairs on this website.

This is the second issue of the monthly DAI-bulletin, informing you about our program, about important dates and events.
Please, PRINT THIS TEXT and keep it with you as an extension to your diary.
Meanwhile participants are strongly advised to not give up keeping a keen eye on the billboard in the canteen. Alterations in the program will be posted there as they used to be before.

TAKE NOTICE:
There are several important changes in our program.
1.China-days are going to take place on the 6th and 7th of March and on the 3th and the 4th of April.

2. I have cancelled the domestic DAI-exhibition-schedule.
In stead of this we will occasionally invite individual participants to make a show at DAI. The first one is done by Somsak Chaitung (Till Febrruary 28).
As an alternative to Critics-day we have put up a workshop with independent curator Jellichje Reijnders. The workshop starts at the 27th of march and will continue through March 28 , April 7,8,9 April and will end with a presentation and an evaluation on April 17 and 18.
Participants:
1.Dilys Lelong
2.Sujeewa Kumari
3.Malla el Mostafa
4.Ana Aznar
5 Ron Pront
6 Davide di Saro
7 Shih-Ying
8 Rongman Hong
More information will be adressed to the 8 participants soon.

3. EVERYTHING YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT GRADUATING
Eleven DAI-students will officially receive their diploma's on either Friday the 11th
We are working on a show that will take place at two or more locations in Enschede.
A curator will be invited to decide about the choice of works and the lay-out of the show.
With Barbara Scheidegger, LinLin, Martin Sollman and Karin Leening I will make appointments about how to show their work to the curator as soon as all arrangments happen to be confirmed.

4.CONTEST
A foundation for the protection of the Dutch "Waddeneilanden-area" (beautifull small islands around Holland's Northern coastline)invites all Masters in Art- courses to sent in 3 works by 3 (nearly, just, some time ago) graduating artists for a contest. Exhibition in September, one prize (interesting sum of money). The works should have 'something' to do with the landscape or character of this area.
I have allready decided to put forward LinLin's video "Wind". Everybody is welcome to contact me if he/she feels that one of his/her works could fit in here. I have to announce the names in June. So if you feel inspired....... (more information available).
