The selection was announced today to friends and partners of the Rijksakademie during the annual Circle of Friends' Summer Luncheon. The artists were selected from over 1,300 applicants by an independent jury of international experts. From the selected artists, 11 come from the Netherlands and 10 from abroad. The judging of applicants from the Netherlands was in collaboration with the Mondriaan Fund, who will provide practice based research grants for Dutch resident artists.
