DAI core tutor & project curator (since 2009) Renée Ridgway is now a PhD fellow at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark in their Management, Philosophy and Politics department in cooperation with Leuphana University's Digital Cultures Research Lab in Germany.

Renée's current research merges her artistic and curatorial practice with digital economies in regard to online remuneration along with investigating the conceptual as well as technological implications of 'search'.

Renée Ridgway is co-initiator and contributor to n.e.w.s. (north, east, south, west), a collective online platform for the analysis and development of art-related activities. Her writings on contemporary art and its complicities can be found at n.e.w.s., with recent contributions to publications OPEN! Platform for Art, Culture & the Public Domain and the Data Browser series: Disrupting Business.

The past 4 years Ridgway has organized the research project Negotiating Equity at DAI and since 2012 she facilitates projects for DAI under the overriding header Roaming Academy. Currently she curates and teaches Welcome to Econotopia - commons of the contemporary, masters curriculum that addresses spaces of transgression, ranging from interventions in public space to contemporary cultural hubs of spectacle to the internet.

Renée Ridgway is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, U.S. (BFA) and Piet Zwart Institute, NL (MA) and has exhibited widely in the Netherlands and internationally.
