Dear friends and colleagues,

You are kindly invited to Investigations III - Research & Visualization, an exhibition in the Stedelijk Museum Assen voor Hedendaagse Kunst (SMAHK). This exhibition is about artistic research and PhD-research in the arts, with special focus on the visualization of the research. Participating artists are Andrea Stultiens, Paula Albuquerque, Daniela de Paulis, Martin Brandsma and me. My contribution to the exhibition is a research installation, entitled Formants. This installation consists of several works that explore different aspects of sound.

The opening of the exhibition is at April the 7th, at 15:00h, in the Venestraat 88, Assen. Participating artists will give a short introduction to their presented works, followed by a general introduction by Peter Sonderen, lector Theory in Art at ArtEZ. Subsequently, a discussion will be held amongst invited artists, critics and the audience about the topic of this exhibition.

The exhibition will be open until April the 27th, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 13:00h till 17:00h.
