Hong-Kai Wang

Born in Yunlin, Taiwan, Hong-Kai Wang received a BA in political science from National Taiwan University (Taipei) and an MA in media studies from The New School University (New York).

Wang works with sound as a conceptual means to explore the construction of new social space, focused on a collaborative and process-driven approach to production.

Wang's work has been recently shown at Contemporary Art Museum Kumamoto; Leonard & Bina Ellen Art Gallery; Taiwan Pavilion, the 54th Venice Biennale; Casino Luxembourg, among others. A performance commission will be seen at Arnold Schoenberg Center in Vienna in March.
